SF Social Club - June 22nd, 2026

Your backstage pass to SF's top tech & startup events this week

In partnership with

Hey SF Social Club, Happy Monday!

I’ve curated a list of over a dozen fantastic events happening in San Francisco this week.

SF Social Club is brought to you by Matt Taksa (Founder at Nextdev Labs - Hire Top 1% AI Engineers). Since late 2022, I’ve hosted over 100 tech events in San Francisco and built a community of 10,000+ people along the way. Why? Because I’ve seen firsthand that the city feels most alive when founders, engineers, and dreamers come together in person.

We're surrounded by AI slop on all sides. It can sometimes feel like a losing battle. But design is more important than ever before.

Products, websites, and digital experiences stand out among the noise when they demonstrate a level of care that can only come from a human, working thoughtfully. How can we stay current with AI tools and trends without losing the creative processes that make art truly beautiful and novel?

Time: 6pm - 8pm

Hosted by Browserbase in San Francisco

Join Browserbase, Harvey, and Reducto at Browserbase HQ in San Francisco for an evening of demos, drinks, and good conversations with some of the people pushing this space forward.

We’ll hear short demos from engineers across the three teams, share a bit about what each company is building, and leave plenty of time to meet other folks in the room.

Time: 6pm - 9pm

Hosted by RETHINK in San Francisco

The way Product, Design, and Engineering collaborate is being fundamentally redefined because AI is now part of the workflow, not just a tool.

Join us for an intimate, Jeffersonian-style dinner with a curated group of AI product leaders & executives exploring how product teams are evolving their collaboration to build seamless AI products.

We’ll gather for food, drinks, and a series of fast-paced lightning demos where leading designers share the projects they’ve built, the tools changing their workflow, and how they’re adapting their craft in the age of AI.

Time: 5:30pm - 8:30pm

Hosted by Skyfire in San Francisco

Join us at Okta's San Francisco headquarters for an evening with the operators building one of the most critical layers in the agent economy: the Trust Layer.

AI agents are starting to transact on behalf of people and businesses but the systems that protect merchants weren't built for this. The missing pieces are verified agent identity, human-to-agent binding, bot and fraud management that accepts agents, and payment credentials that travel with proof of authorization . The trust layer is now, being rolled out by the world's largest and most innovative companies. Come see it live.

Time: 5pm - 8pm

Hosted by Airwallex in San Francisco

Agentic commerce is coming fast. Agents will be initiating transactions, managing spend, and operating across financial systems in ways that were theoretical 18 months ago.

Join us for an evening of networking and conversation as we explore what this transition means across the three sides it touches. For shoppers, this is about frictionless discovery: finding and buying without ever touching a checkout button. For merchants, it's about staying in control of their brand and catalog in a world where an LLM might mediate the buying decision. For builders and AI companies, it's about empowering their agents with the right infrastructure for autonomy – agentic payments, stablecoin rails, and an agentic money movement stack beneath.

Time: 5pm - 8pm

Hosted by Playground Global in San Francisco

AI is no longer just a software story. As models grow larger and demand for compute accelerates, the next frontier is physical, encompassing everything from where infrastructure is built, the energy required to power it and what it takes to scale AI beyond today’s constraints.

Join Playground Global for an evening exploring how the next generation of AI infrastructure will be built.

Time: 6pm - 8pm

Hosted by Baseten in San Francisco

Picking the right model is one of the most critical decisions an AI product team makes right now. Learn how Notion and Gamma, two of the most compelling AI-forward companies in tech, have approached these product decisions.

Jun 25th, 2026 - CMD

Time: 7pm - 9:30pm

Hosted by Mercury in San Francisco

Mercury presents CMD: An immersive live music set featuring DJ and Mercury customer Zack Fox and creative technologist Mattaniah Aytenfsu — inspired by the experience of orchestrating your finances with Mercury Command.

Time: 8am - 10am

Hosted by Inkitt in San Francisco

We're hosting a casual breakfast at Inkitt HQ on June 26th. We're bringing together AI filmmakers to talk about the future of cinema being built right here in SF.

We will celebrate the launch of Ironblood, the only streaming app for superhero, action and sci-fi stories. Based on original manuscripts greenlit by millions of Inkitt readers and brought to screen by our talented video producers using the most advanced AI tools, including Higgsfield, ElevenLabs, Lovable and Seedance.

Time: 5pm - 8:30pm

Hosted by MongoDB in San Francisco

Close out the week at Builder After Hours: an evening for developers, technical founders, and AI builders to eat, drink, learn, and build.

We're kicking things off with a technical panel on Context Engineering for Long-horizon AI Agents, featuring engineers from MongoDB, Voyage AI, Tavily, and Mastra. They'll dig into the real challenges of building agents that stay reliable across long, multi-step workflows, from retrieval and memory to production-ready infrastructure.

That’s it for this week!
